Joe C, as a teenager, was the lead singer of “The Pentagons”. They were that rare black doo wop singing group that actually had local and radio success with their hit “To Be Loved”. Joe C traveled far and wide as an A&M recording artist. Just as his career was about to pop, his brother Otis got ill. Thereafter, his dad got ill and became an invalid. Also, recently divorced at that time, he had to rear his son, as well. Joe C gladly took care of his family responsibilities out of deep love and devotion. This collection, his first since “To Be Loved”, clearly re-establishes Joe C JONES as an enduring singer’s singer, who possesses the unique ability to touch the hearts and minds of thinking and feeling woman and men, everywhere.
